Spring Break

Over spring break, I didn't get a tremendous lot of sleep. On the days that I wasn't having an extreme sleepover, I slept in till like, 12 or 1, but otherwise, I had an abundance of sleepovers. On the first sleepover, we didn't stay up extremely late on my standards. We went to bed at about 5:00 in the morning, so it wasn't dramatically bad. The second and third sleepovers we had were till about 4 or some not so drastic time. But the 4th sleepover, oh yes. We stayed up all night long and didn't get a minute of sleep at all. How? It's called amazingly good Mountain Dew. It's pretty fun actually, because the night goes by freakishly fast and once you realize what time it is, you realize that it is already getting quite light outside again, and you have officially stayed awake for 24 hours, and maybe more if you can survive all day awake. Yup. Spring break well spent.

P.S.
I used descriptive words because I had to today.

Tough Economic Times

In these tough economic times, my family is doing many things to cut back. We go grocery shopping a lot less often and try to buy everything on sale that we can. Also, we don't go to the mall or go buy a bunch of new clothes every week or month. Instead of turning the heater way up when we're cold, we put on an extra shirt instead to save money from the heating bill. We bought florescent lights to replace all our other ones to save the energy bill, and we shut the computer off when we're not using it. Hopefully, the economy will recover because I am really tired of wearing a winter coat and gloves while I read a book.

iPods

In my blog post today, I am going to compare the different kind of iPods.

The Nano 4th generation.

Good: The nano is good for miniature games, quickly changing from song to song by flicking it in your hand, and easy to figure out.

Bad: Costs a bit more than average, and when you make a quick motion or hop with it in your pocket, it will respond to a flick and change the song when you don't mean to.

The iPod pebble.

Good: Indestructible. You could throw it on the sidewalk and it would not break. (maybe) It is pretty small and it is convenient for having an iPod for hiking or something outdoors.

Bad: It feels like a rock in your pocket. It is small, but it is short and fat. It does not have a screen so you don't know what song is playing unless you recognize it.

The iPod shuffle.

Good: It's handy for putting in your pocket, or on your pocket, because it has a clip. It has a suprising amount of memory for such a small device, and comes in various colors. It also has a shuffle feature that makes it play random songs like a playlist.

Bad: Doesn't have a screen. The larger the memory on the shuffle, the longer it takes for you to find a specific song, especially on shuffle. If you're on shuffle, you're likely to replay the same song more than once when you're searching for it. This is a good iPod for people that just want music, and not specific music.
To conclude, I would prefer the shuffle for it's small size and easy to use itunes program.

Fun things

The most fun thing that I have done lately is that I have set up a pitching area for baseball. I was bored, so I set up a big board leaning against my fence. After that, I put a sleeping bag pad in front of it and then a metal circular ring type stand in front of that. This way, when I pitch, if I pitch a good pitch, it will go through the ring and hit the mat, and if I pitch a bad pitch it should hit the board. I overestimated myself though. I hadn't pitched for a while, and I didn't know how good I was. Unfortunetly, I threw the ball and it hit the fence post about 3 feet above everything I set up and broke part of it off. Ya. It's been a while since I played baseball.
